Community-Colorado: This Colorado school is not the typical community college experience
“Community” was a hit comedy series that aired from 2009 to 2014, popular for its refreshing yet simplistic storyline. The show was set in a fictional school and town in Greendale, Colorado. While Greendale Community College is a made-up place, they filmed most scenes at Los Angeles City College.
Excluding regular clip shots for the exterior of the Los Angeles City College building, the rest of the show was shot in Hollywood, California, in one of the Paramount studios. The storyline revolved around the fictional school, meaning there was no direct reference to the actual shooting place. They used three main buildings at LACC to portray the library and the outside quad to represent the campus.
