These TV Shows Take Place All Over The United States But Weren’t Exactly Filmed in the Plot’s City

Fargo-Minnesota: These crimes cross state lines from season to season

“Fargo” is a tv series inspired by the 1996 film of the same name. The show reflects the American experience and is about crime and murder in northern US cities. The settings vary each season, all in connection to the crime that occurred there. Season 1 through 3 was set in Luverne, Minnesota, Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Season 4 takes place in Kansas City, Missouri. However, production mostly took place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Chicago, Illinois. Some scenes were inspired by the town Brainerd, Minnesota, but were never filmed there.
