Dallas-Dallas, Texas: Before the Real Housewives of Dallas was the Ewing family
Yet another remake on our list, “Dallas” 2012, is a remake of the 1978 series of the same name. The storyline revolves around the same Ewing family and has several of the original cast members in the new version. Unlike the original, which was sparsely shot in Dallas, the 2012 version focused heavily on shooting in the city.
The remake also shows real-life locations like the Southfork Ranch in the northern Dallas suburb of Parker. There is a heavy presence of the Texas vibe within this show, which was essential to portray the city’s stories. None of the stars live in Dallas, but shows like “Queen of the South,” “Umbrella Academy,” “Me and the Boys,” “The Real Housewives of Dallas,” and much more were all shot in there.
