These TV Shows Take Place All Over The United States But Weren’t Exactly Filmed in the Plot’s City

That ’70s Show-Wisconsin: Did this show depict your high school experience in the ’70s?

“That ’70s Show” is another classic series centering around a US state. It focuses on the social issues of the ’70s and the lives of six teenage friends living in the fictional town of Point Place, Wisconsin. It takes place from 1976 to1979, focusing on major themes of the time like generational differences, sexual attitudes, drinking and drug use, and American politics. Many scenes take place in Eric’s basement when the teens are smoking, as well as in his “Golden Aztec” Vista Cruiser. However, filming was not done in the midwest.

The show was filmed at CBS Studio Center, Los Angeles, and Ventura Blvd. It is unknown where the show is based in Wisconsin, but evidence from episodes implies it is near Green Bay and Kenosha. The show had a fairly large audience during its run and is still popular on Netflix as people binge watch it frequently.
