These TV Shows Take Place All Over The United States But Weren’t Exactly Filmed in the Plot’s City

The Walking Dead-Senoia, Georgia: One of the towns in this show already looked like it was hit by an apocalypse

This highly praised series was set in the fictional home base, Alexandria, near the actual neighborhood development in Senoia, Georgia. It put locations in Atlanta on the map for tourists and fans of the show to visit. The most-watched television show was shot in Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta as the setting for the CDC. Scenes of walkers chained in the arena for pit fights were filmed in The Woodbury Arena in Woodbury, Georgia. Other physical locations are Jackson Street Bridge, Atlanta, and Morgan’s Apartment in the rundown ghost town Grantville.

Other scenes were shot all over Georgia, including at Rick’s House in Atlanta, Downtown Senoia, Elders Mill, Senoia, Esco Feed Mill in Haralson, Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island, The Dumpster Alley, Hampton, Carol’s House, Fayetteville, Bellwood Quarry in Atlanta, Steve’s Pharmacy, as well as Sharpsburg, Raleigh Studios Atlanta. People have flocked from Australia, Brazil, and Singapore to visit these locations, especially Grantville.
