Hawaii Five-0-Oahu: Take a tropical and adventurous vacation in every episode
“Hawaii Five-0” is a modern-day spinoff of the 1960’s crime show with the same name but slightly different. The original version was called “Hawaii Five-O,” as in the letter of the alphabet. The modern version changed theirs to have a Zero to keep the originality alive. Akin to its name, it was shot all over the beautiful island of Hawaii. Views of real-life places like the Aliiolani Hale, the Battleship Missouri Memorial, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Kualoa Ranch, and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
Most outdoor scenes were filmed in Oahu, while many indoor scenes were filmed at a studio in Diamondhead, Hawaii. Many Hawaiian themes can be seen in the series, from the popular shrimp dishes to shaved ice creams and the beachy Hawaiian dressing and lifestyle. Actors Daniel Dae Kim and Alex O’loughlin have properties in the state and have become residents. “Magnum P.I.” is another popular T.V. series shot in Hawaii.
