We Had More Police Around
Law enforcement officers were a common sight in the 80s. There was a police station in just about every town and a patrol officer monitoring the neighborhood. This certainly did heighten the feeling of safety and order.
This is no longer so today. The number of police officers keeping watch is lesser than in the 80s.
