There Was Less Traffic on the Roads
Nothing makes commuting as tedious and sometimes as unsafe as heavy traffic. In the 80s, however, there was less traffic than today, making the roads much quieter and safer. As kids, we could happily ride our bicycles without much traffic. Drivers could easily and quickly shuttle from one place to another without dealing with traffic jams and, worse still, reckless drivers.
Today we don’t have as many kids breezing around on their bikes without a care in the world. Either they’re at home with their tech gadget, or their parents won’t let them ride their bikes too far for fear of reckless drivers.
