Ghostbusters
The Ghostbusters movie franchise was born in 1984 and became a critically acclaimed and highly successful film. I remember watching this movie and being both scared and entertained.
The success of this movie led to the development of an animated TV series, video games, board games, and a sequel (which did not perform as well). The 2016 reboot did not do well either; thus, a sequel to the 1984 film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was released in November of 2021. It is also interesting to note that its iconic theme song, “Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker Jr., was a hit, staying at number one on Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks.
