The Karate Kid
The original Karate Kid released in 1984, featured Ralph Macchio as the lonely teenager, Daniel LaRusso, who had to learn martial arts from Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki “Pat” Morita) to defend himself from a group of bullies who study Cobra Kai.
More than 30 years later, this movie continues to be a timeless classic, providing entertainment and teaching virtues to kids even to this day. Its 2010 remake, while quite good, was not as critically acclaimed as the original. Netflix created a series, Cobra Kai, following Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso as an adult and teaching his kids karate. The show has four seasons and features music from the 80s.
