Take the time to clean the lint filter in your dryer
When you place your clothing or towels in the dryer, they inevitably shed some of their fibers. Lint filters’ primary purpose is to catch these fibers to prevent obstructing the dryer vent hose. It’s recommended to clean your lint filter between every batch of clothes. This annoying and tedious task actually brings about many benefits.
The first advantage is that it keeps your energy bills low. If your lint trap is clogged, your dryer will have to work extra hard, and, therefore, waste more energy. Cleaning your lint filter also reduces the risk of fire, as the machine tends to work at high temperatures and these fibers are highly flammable.
