Don’t forget to seal the space around your windows
As much as you’d want caulk to last forever, you may be aware that it can end up crumbling and coming off once it gets dry. It’s advised to caulk your windows in order to lower your energy bills, prevent drafts, and keep moisture from rotting the wooden window parts.
When you find a place where the caulk has dried, you should buy a caulk gun and more sealant. Before you apply a new layer, scrape off the old one with a steel knife. Remember that caulk used on interior windows shouldn’t emit toxic fumes, as this could be detrimental to your health.
