Shut your curtains during the day to protect your furniture
When the weather outside is lovely, it’s natural to want to open your curtains and let some fresh air inside. Although it doesn’t count as leaving your house, it’s a way of relieving some stress during those hectic home office days that seem to have no end. There’s one mistake you should avoid, though.
If the weather is sweltering and the sun is shining brightly, leaving your curtains open throughout the entire day isn’t a good idea. Ultraviolet radiation (UV) light would damage your furniture and textiles, making the colors of the fabrics fade away. Plus, open windows and curtains would make your living room unbearably hot.
