Don’t mulch the areas around your home
Those who are keen on gardening probably know that mulching consists of covering the soil with mulches such as leaves, compost, bark, and wood chips, in order to improve fertility and preserve moisture. Unfortunately, this widely-practiced technique has its disadvantages. One of them stems from the fact that munch retains water.
Stagnant water and wet soil around your home could result in foundational issues and cracking. As you can imagine, these problems aren’t easy to fix and could turn into every homeowner’s worst nightmare. Another reason to munch far away from your house is that termites tend to shelter there and feed on wood chips.
