Plastic cutting boards aren’t sanitary
Amateur chefs and foodies, this one’s for you. When it comes to buying a cutting board to chop your veggies for that delicious soup you’re planning to make, you should purchase a wooden one. Besides being eco-friendly, this material has many additional advantages that make it more convenient.
Studies have shown that plastic cutting boards tend to harbor more bacteria than wooden boards. This is because wood is easier to clean than plastic, which means it’s the most hygienic option. Also, by using a plastic board, you could accidentally release tiny plastic fragments that’d get mixed with your food.
