Check Out These Bad Habits Every Homeowner Should Avoid

The HVAC filters in your home shouldn’t be clogged

Similar to what you’ve read regarding lint filters, the ones in your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system should also be cleaned regularly. These are responsible for catching dirt and other material floating around in the air. When clogged, they could elevate the costs of your heating and cooling devices.

If they appear to be too dirty, consider cleaning them or replacing them with new ones. Luckily, these are cheap and don’t represent a significant investment. The risk of not checking whether your filters are working is damaging the cooling and heating systems. Renters, remember to ask your landlord whose responsibility it is to maintain them.
