It is common for moms to mishear song lyrics
Misheard lyrics have the potential to turn into the funniest jokes you have ever heard. For some reason, moms and dads are particularly prone to this kind of mistake. This Twitter user’s mother got the lyrics wrong to a song that is not really that confusing.
It is funny because it actually makes no sense. Adele’s 2011 Hit “Rolling in the Deep” is not a song that is easily misheard since the chorus is the same as the song’s title. Besides, how does the appearance of sheep make any sense in that context? We suspect mom was pulling a prank on them.
