From Cardi B to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Did You Notice These Celebrity Cameos During the Super Bowl Commercials?

Celebrities are known for acting in film and TV, but they’ve also managed to make their way into the sports arena by blessing us with appearances in Super Bowl commercials. Different stars get employed by brands for Super Bowl commercials; while some deliver funny lines, some just act in the ‘background’ that we almost miss. Here are five celebrities we spotted in this year’s Super Bowl commercials.

Sir Patrick Stewart

Paramount+ hired Sir Patrick Stewart and other famous faces for their 2024 Super Bowl commercial. That was a good call because his funny remarks were more memorable than Usher’s halftime performance.

His “Not built for the moment, I see” line shows his comedic skills. We can’t decide which is funnier: the part where he asked Drew Barrymore to shut her face or the dramatic reveal of an old football uniform.

Dan Levy, Lil Wayne, and Heidi Gardner

While some Super Bowl commercials succeed because the brands went all out, some are outstanding because they went with a simple concept. The latter is the case for the Homes.com commercial.

The ad featured Lil Wayne, Dan Levy, and Heidi Gardner; you couldn’t have missed them. We’re surely not the only ones thinking about why Lil Wayne should be denied access to a classroom, are we?

Cardi B

It’s not the first time we’ve seen Cardi B in a Super Bowl commercial; her Alexa fill-in voice still rings in our ears. However, her appearance in the NYX cosmetics commercial this year is even crazier.

The part where she said, “That’s suspicious…” is probably the funniest line in the whole ad. Although the full commercial for their Duck Plump lip gloss, which features men using the plumper on a different body part, was deemed inappropriate, the partial form will still be aired.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito

The combination of the two stars can only lead to a commercial filled with badass vibes and nostalgic memories. In the Super Bowl commercial for State Farm, Arnold served us some heroic action, as usual.

He goes through the action hero motions, piloting a chopper and making the already funny commercial even funnier. As if that wasn’t enjoyable enough, the addition of his “Twins” costar, Danny DeVito, switched things up.

Beyoncé

While it’s not new for our fave musicians to feature in Super Bowl ads, seeing Queen Bey in this commercial took the internet by storm. The reason is simple: the “Halo” singer didn’t just do a regular ad.

Beyoncé’s appearance in the Verizon commercial was a medium for dropping new music! Although we’d have been thrilled if she just delivered a line in the ad, the concept of surprise dropping new music is a killer- we haven’t recovered from the internet-breaking surprise yet.
