This mother gave her children advice on how to avoid boredom
Mothers usually know a lot more about the world than we do, which is why they are the perfect people to go to when you need advice. This one sounds to be particularly wise, given the phrase she told her kids whenever they ran over to tell her they were bored.
It is good advice indeed. We spend most of our time with only ourselves for company, so if we cannot keep ourselves entertained, then life is bound to be quite monotonous. It does not matter if what you find entertaining is boring for others either, since you are the one who has to live with yourself.
