This holiday pun is their mom’s yearly tradition
Reuniting with your loved ones is one of the best parts of Christmas for those who celebrate it. Moreover, every family has its festive traditions and inside jokes. Take this family, for example, whose mother has a unique tradition involving a pun and a pear tree.
Get it? The carol goes, “and a partridge in a pear tree.” Only the song refers to the bird, while the picture relates to David Cassidy’s character from the 1970 series The Partridge Family. Maybe we should stop referring to these puns as “dad jokes” and start calling them “mom jokes.”
