She texted her child to ask them where their cellphone was
Needless to say, people sometimes do things that make absolutely no sense. For instance, we all know how embarrassing it feels to be looking desperately for your phone only to realize it was in your hand all along. Something very similar happened to this person’s mother.
But she was not the one who had lost the phone. If she thought her child had lost their cell, how did she expect them to receive her text? We cannot judge her too harshly, though, since she was probably distracted and did not put much thought into what she was doing.
