Wearing shoes in the house
We bet every Asian kid is so jealous of Americans because they get to wear shoes inside their homes or even keep them on while lying on their beds. While it may seem quite ‘normal’ to any American teenager, non-Americans know just how uncommon it is.
Asians are particularly strict about leaving their shoes at the doorstep before entering someone’s house. Even when they enter an American’s home where it’s allowed to keep them on, their first instinct is always to remove them at the doorstep.
