If you’ve been around Americans for a while, one thing about their thought processes and general beliefs is a strong faith in the concept of Exceptionalism. This basically means that America is inherently different and, in some terms, better than the rest of the world, and it was destined to lead the entire world with its positive impact and example.

While it might sound like a normal idea of no major concern, it gets quite strange when someone else looks at it from their perspective. Most movies show only the United States being attacked when aliens want to ‘conquer the world,’ so it might actually make sense.
