Not having to ask for the check
Even the most lavish French restaurants wouldn’t stand a chance against a mediocre American food court when it comes to this. At almost all other places, once you’re done dining, you have to signal the staff to bring your bill, but not in America!
The staff working at American restaurants somehow know when to bring your bill without you having to ask for it. While this seems like otherworldly sorcery, inexplicable in terms of how they do it, it saves some introverted diners a lot of effort!
