The amount of sugar used in food
It is a well-known fact that American food is brimming with oil, all thanks to the fast food and fried foods that dominate most of the country’s diet. However, did you know that just like the oil, Americans also consume an insane amount of sugar with their food?
Be it excessive consumption of soda (free refills, remember?), cakes, and even ordinary bread, everything in America seems sweeter than a loaf of European bread. Americans’ oil and sugar-rich diet probably explain why obesity cases are soaring in this country. Americans traveling to European countries notice a huge difference in the taste of food and how they feel when consuming it.
