The first test audience hated the movie
It was a huge surprise when we found out the first test audience paid to bring their honest review about the movie hated it. Why would anybody hate Dirty Dancing? It is filled with scenes that will make you aww and smile multiple times.
The review of the test audience almost prompted the team and producers to skip the movie premiere in theaters and choose a direct-to-video or VHS release. This would have no doubt dulled the movie’s visibility, reducing its fame and progress.
