Many believed the movie was cursed as horrible things happened on set
The cast of Dirty Dancing believed the movie was cursed as a series of evil things began to happen. First, when everyone finally buckled down and filming began, there was a sudden halt to production. On the sixth day, some of the crew’s property was stolen, and there was no explanation.
Then, there was flooding on the streets surrounding the set, destroying one car, and while they were trying to salvage their loss, one of the set decorators fell off a ladder and hurt himself badly. By the time filming was complete, one producer was so dissatisfied and suggested they burn the footage.
