They had to paint discolored leaves green to make it look like summer
When you watch the film, you feel that summer ambiance of enjoying camp and feeling the warmth on your skin. Well, you will probably be surprised that the summer feel was movie props, and the actual weather condition was shivery and freezing.
Since the movie was filmed in autumn in Virginia and North Carolina, it was bound to be cold. To create the summer feel, they spraypainted all the fallen, dead leaves green. The fallen leaves were all green, which was unusual as most fallen leaves are yellow and withered.
