The actors only had 14 days to rehearse dance moves before shooting
Did you know all the complicated dance scenes had to be learned within two weeks? Patrick and Jennifer had very limited time, so all dance steps had to be learned and rehearsed within 14 days. This is because of the tight filming schedule.
Immediately after casting was decided, filming started on September 5, 1986, and ended on October 19, meaning it took only two months to film the entire movie. Can you imagine learning all those steps and lines in such a short amount of time? This will no doubt make you respect the entire producing team.
