Popular critic duo gave mixed reactions before the movie’s explosion
After the movie’s release, popular movie critics decided to give their honest reviews. Famous critic duo Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert were not left out of reviewing this film.
Gene Siskel gave the film a “marginal Thumbs Up” and stated that he liked Jennifer Grey’s acting and the development of her character. Roger Ebert gave it a “Thumbs Down” due to its “idiotic plot,” calling it “tired and relentlessly predictable.”
