The hotel where the crew stayed is now a tourist site
Most of the crew members and the entire cast stayed at Mountain Lake Lodge (Kellerman’s) for the scenes shot in Virginia because of its easy access. The property has taken advantage of this surge in tourism and decided to incorporate the movie with its hospitality brand.
It is a real hotel where they offer an extensive gift shop with Dirty Dancing memorabilia. They also display the guest registry page with Patrick Swayze’s signature for Room 232, the hotel room he stayed in throughout the filming.
