Patrick Swayze did all his own stunts
Although there are neck-snapping or spine-wrecking stunts in the movie, the unusual stunts by Johnny were played out by Patrick Swayze. The actor is known to be resilient and relentless; he demanded he performed all the stunts without needing a stunt double.
However, the log scene where he had to dance on a stretched log of wood was quite difficult and he fell several times. Still, he kept retrying the scene until it was perfect. This stubbornness did not go unpunished as he injured his knee so badly that he had to get the fluid in his knee drained to reduce the swelling and avoid a bigger problem.
