‘We are all horrible people in our own unique and insufferable ways’
This Reddit comment is as real as it gets when talking about living with someone. Having roommates means having to deal with some of their horrible habits. On the flip side, they will also have to deal with some of your bad habits. Living together in peace and harmony requires that all sides need to come to an agreement about mutual living terms.
At the end of the day, we all are severely flawed human beings looking to thrive and survive in our respective lives. Some of us just happen to have to share our room or house with another human or two who has or have a similar story. Empathy and respect win it all.
