10:90 is not a fair division of labor
Some people don’t realize that when talking about dividing tasks between roommates, it is a given that the division should be an equal 50:50. Doing a small part of the task doesn’t mean that your job is done and that the rest is now a headache for your roommate to handle. This is often a major issue between roommates, that one doesn’t usually recognize the work that the other person has to do.
It is probably best to decide from the very first day who will be responsible for what task and, as mentioned earlier, the division should be obviously 50:50. No one can say that they pitched in with the cooking just because they served it. It doesn’t work that way. At least it shouldn’t.
