While it may seem obvious, a lot of people assume that their family members, friends, partners, or roommates will automatically know what their comfort levels are without them ever outlining them. However, this is a wrong assumption and is one of the major causes of unnecessarily heated arguments and failed relationships. If boundaries aren’t communicated, no one knows when they’ve overstepped them, resulting in suppressed frustrations and passive-aggressiveness.
