‘Me time’ is pretty important
A lot of us have social batteries that drain very quickly and take a while to recharge. Whether an introvert or an extravert, everyone needs some alone time every now and again. This can be difficult when living in close quarters with roommates. Therefore, it’s always good to remind roommates about the benefits of a little “me time” every now and again.
It is important for roommates to understand that everyone needs some personal space at times and that not wanting to be social with them is not a reflection of how you feel about them. Being vocal about these tendencies for alone time will help your roommate respect your space and not take it personally.
