Two are greater than one, simple math
Some roommates come in two, meaning being roommates with a couple. While it might seem like a fun idea on the surface, this concept has risks. First off, the couple will most likely always be busy with themselves and may hardly bother to include the lone roommate. Not to mention, if arguments arise, they will always side with each other.
When an argument about household responsibilities or even what to watch on TV comes up, it will always be two vs. one, and they will always have the advantage. Another aspect to consider is that it could be a nightmare to be in the house with them when they are having a fight between themselves.
