Never believe ‘my way is the highway’
No one can ever be in control all the time. Sometimes, we have to take a deep breath and just calmly accept that nothing is perfect and that there are flaws in people and downsides to some situations. It’s also better to accept that, sometimes, people need to let go and let others help out.
Taking control of every situation means a lot of responsibility to shoulder. It also holds the person in control accountable for anything that goes wrong. This can be mentally and physically exhausting. What’s more, if the other roommate never has to be in charge of something, they may assume that they never have to help with anything.
