Is it Cake or a Snake? You Won’t Believe These Slithering Creatures are Realistic Sweet Creations

The Dancing Cobra Cake

This cake must have been inspired by the legend of the Sri Lanka dancing snake. This is a fondant cake made for a birthday. Firstly, the basket was handcrafted, while the half-snake was airbrushed to perfection. The sponge cake used as a mold for this cake has three flavors: vanilla sponge cake, buttercream, and chocolate ganache.

Snake charming is a popular practice in India. This is when someone (known as a snake charmer) attempts to hypnotize a snake (often a king cobra) by playing and waving around an instrument called a pungi. This leads to what seems like the performance of a dancing snake. But usually, the king cobra is one of the most venomous snakes on the planet and can lift up to a third of its body off the ground and still move forward to attack when confronted. Fortunately for us, king cobras are shy and will avoid humans whenever possible, and moreover, this is cake.
