The Details are Beyond Lifelike
Following a trip to the zoo, Francesca Pitcher, from Maidstone Kent, had no choice but to create this coiled-up Burmese python cake for her daughter Claudia who wanted a ‘spooky’ themed birthday party. The professional cake baker and mother of two spent three days building the albino Burmese python out of vanilla sponge cake layers, covering it in white chocolate fondant, and applying a special dye to make the skin.
She then proceeds to spend another 12 hours decorating it. We are sure her hard work paid off because the guests weren’t sure if it was a snake or a cake when she brought it out. Some even ran away at first! Who wouldn’t? Just look at the details!
