Some Happy Meal toys weren’t that cool
After the success of transforming food toys, you’d think McDonald’s made an effort to make the Happy Meal trinkets better. But the fast-food chain only turned them into boring stuff. It replaced the robots with generic dinosaurs that weren’t entertaining at all.
Although children rushed to grab drinks that became pink dinosaurs and McNuggets that transformed into crocodiles, they knew those new Happy Meal toys weren’t as exciting as the robots. McDonald’s just kept reintroducing the transforming food concept until it got old.
