There was a time when McDonald’s sold pizza
Not many people remember when McDonald’s tried to get into the pizza business. During the ’80s, pizza franchises such as Pizza Hut and Domino’s were all the rage. Since McDonald’s didn’t want to stay behind, they added their own pizza to the menu.
However, it didn’t last long on the fast-food chain’s menu. Golden Arches realized that the only way it could compete with the rising pizza franchise stars was by doing what it did best: making delicious burgers and crispy French fries.
