Illumination, formerly Illumination Entertainment, is an American computer animation studio that was founded by Chris Meledandri in 2007. The entertainment company is also co-owned by Universal Pictures and a major division of Comcast. With such big names, it’s no wonder this franchise is so successful.
This brand is responsible for creating Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets, and even Sing franchises. Minions are their official studio mascot, and Minions can be seen whenever the Illumination logo appears in other merchandise.
