All Minions are males
In the Minions world, there are no females; they are all males. When the popularity of the Minions arose sporadically after the massive explosion of Despicable Me, people began to wonder why there were no female Minions. The animator and creator of the Minions, Pierre Coffins, in an interview, revealed that there was no way he would imagine Minions as girls.
He buttressed his point by saying that Minions are dumb, stupid, and very careless and that this trait was not associated with girls. However, the creator didn’t explain how the creatures reproduce, making us wonder where they all came from and how they are repopulating.
