There are exactly 899 Minions
It’s doubtful that anyone really believed that the entire population of all Minions was a million. Well, director and animator Pierre Collins stated there are actually 899 Minions in his Minions movie. This figure seems quite small compared to the truckload of Minions we see in all the advertisements for the franchise.
He also explained that he had seen 10,400 Minions in advertisements, which is a far cry from his original figure. Interestingly, it’s been noted that there are only 48 possible distinct physical appearances of Minions, as there is a limited number of variations between their hair, eyes, height, and build.
