The Minions’ own movie was released on July 10, 2015
This may not be the most amazing fact, yet it deserves to make this list. After two different Despicable Me movies came out, there was an American computer-animated Minions comedy that hit theaters in 2015 as a sort of prequel. It was produced by Illumination Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures.
Minions first came out in London on June 11, 2015. It was subsequently released in the United States on July 10. It became a huge success and garnered US$1.159 billion worldwide, making it the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2015 and the 10th highest-grossing film of all time. Not bad for a movie filled with yellowish cylindrical characters.
