Heinrich Hertz didn’t believe radio waves were a revolutionary discovery
Radio waves are essential in many fields and industries. They’re necessary to make remote-controlled toys, television and radio broadcasts, and even phone calls work. If you think about it, modern life as we know it wouldn’t be possible without them.
Nonetheless, Heinrich Hertz didn’t believe his revolutionary discovery was relevant. He thought radio waves had no practical applications at all. Even if Hertz was trying to be humble, he should’ve given himself a little credit. Radio waves changed the world, after all.
