People thought the Internet was a fad
When the internet first appeared, it was thought to be a fad. In this article published by Daily Mail in 2000, the author said the internet wouldn’t make it past a few years because the access charges were pretty high.
Nonetheless, they were utterly wrong. The Internet revolutionized the way society works. It boosted the economy, and many companies depend on it to function correctly. The irony in this situation is that, if anything, newspapers are on their way to becoming obsolete soon.
