Belle talks to furniture as if it was completely normal
In Beauty and the Beast, Belle is captured by Beast and locked in a room. The furniture in there is alive, so she does her best to befriend them instead of attempting to talk to Beast or find a way out.
Being locked in a place you don’t know can drive you crazy, so Belle did what she could to stay sane. We may laugh at her for talking to furniture, but we shouldn’t forget that we speak to the television when we’re alone at home.
