Tom might get deformed sometimes, but he never dies
Tom and Jerry is the type of cartoon for children that wouldn’t probably fly today. It’s packed with running gags involving violence. In his efforts to get Jerry, Tom uses weapons and explosives, and Jerry gets even more creative in retaliation.
We watched Tom getting smashed, electrocuted, and sliced too many times throughout the show. We’d expect him to die after so many gags, but he somehow survives every single one of them. We can only assume, then, that Tom is immortal.
